Captain: Helen O’Beirne

Helen is in her final year studying English Studies and History here at Trinity. She is our third female captain in a row, and is extremely proud to be carrying on the club's legacy of female leadership with her all female executive committee with Tara and Edie.

It's a big year for the club, which has record membership including new beginners and our increasingly successful performance teams. On top of this we have the great responsibility of organising the Intervarsity Championships  which will see over 300 sailors attend four days of racing and social events in Carlingford Sailing Club.

Helen has had a blast with Trinity Sailing over the years, travelling to West Kirby, Loughborough and London as well as all around Ireland competing for the club and she's pumped to keep it going for herself and club members this year.

With a particular focus of getting more women on the helm and developing the club towards its higher capacity, Helen can't wait to see what the year has in store!
